How can I tell if I have a secure connection?
Your browser has a way of telling you when you are connected to a secure site. Depending on your browser, an image will appear either at the bottom or the top of the window to indicate a secure site (this image is typically a padlock icon). Secured transactions are also indicated in the location bar of your browser by the prefix https:// rather than http:// (https stands for "hyper-text transfer protocol, secured").
The term "secure connection" refers to your connection to the web page only. It has nothing to do with your Internet connection.
NOTE: You may encounter pages which falsely claim to be secure. If you do not see the secure icon, you do not have a secure connection to the web page. |

Start Norton Internet Security.
In the main program window, double-click Privacy Control.
In the Privacy Control Blocking window, click Advanced.
On the left side of the Advanced dialog box, do one of the following:
To turn off Browser Privacy for all Web sites, click (Defaults), and then skip to line 6. (This is the simplest option.)
To turn off Browser Privacy for a Web site that is already in the list, click the name of the site, and then skip to line 6.
To turn off Browser Privacy for a Web site that is not already in the list, click Add Site, and then continue to line 5.
In the New Site/Domain dialog box, type the address of the Web site (see list below) and then click OK.
